Asking a patient for their full history
How consent works: you ask, the patient chooses how long, and access closes by itself.
Open this page in the appYour clinic always sees what it recorded itself. A patient's records from other clinics — and their family history — are the patient's to share. Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (No. 151 of 2020) treats health data as sensitive, so Medical Horus asks the patient every time.
- Open the patient and press Request medical history access.
- The patient gets a notification and chooses: approve for an hour, a day, a week, a month or always — or decline.
- Once approved, the wider history and family history appear in the patient brief straight away.
When access ends
When the period the patient chose runs out, or the patient revokes access, the wider history disappears again and any AI conversation built on it is cleared. To see it again, send a new request.
Every access is logged
The patient can see who opened their file and when, from their privacy page. That record is what makes patients comfortable saying yes.
